MicroShield SunGuard is a sunscreen encapsulation technology for both UVA and UVB within the Alpha-gel structure. This structure, a robust hydrate lamella structure, transforms into an oil gel that easily disperses in water, forming uniform particles in the 1-5 micron range. These particles closely pack together, forming a film on the skin surface, maximizing sun protection. Additionally, it prevents the penetration of sunscreen into the underlying skin layers, reducing the risk of skin irritation. Importantly, Alpha Boost RS contains no oxybenzone, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate (OMC), 4-methylbenzylidene camphor, butylparaben, and ethylhexyl salicylate (OS). which are chemicals potentially harmful to the coral reef.
